James Perkins

I achieved a First Class Honours degree in Natural Sciences (majoring in Maths and Biology) before starting my career as a Scientist where I achieved my goal of being published in a research journal. However, I couldn’t escape my passion for numbers and transitioned to an accounting practice where I gained valuable experience preparing and auditing financial statements for companies, charities, and academies. Eager to apply my skills in a business environment, I made the move into industry starting my journey at RG Law in 2020 – drawn to the complexities of conveyancing as an exciting new challenge.

I manage both our client accounts and the financial operations of the business, ensuring everything runs seamlessly and complies with industry regulations. From processing transactions and managing client funds to preparing management accounts and overseeing financial reporting, I keep our finances on track. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy, I take pride in delivering a reliable and efficient service that supports both our team and our clients.

I enjoy getting involved in all areas of the business and thrive on problem-solving, always looking for ways to improve efficiency and streamline processes.

Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my family, going for refreshing walks with my dog, and unwinding in the evenings watching a film or playing videogames.
